2021 ARRL Field Day Results
In 2021, CKARS again operated 6-Alpha at Camp Catalpa behind Lake Reba in Richmond, Kentucky. Operating CW and Phone from a mix of Solar and generator power, this was the first year in many that the iconic Airstream was missing in action. However, the club was blessed with good and favorable weather for the duration. CKARS came in nineteenth overall with a score of 11,798 having a total of 3,528 QSOs. This gave the club the first in category (6A) with the next club at 7,350 (W4DW + W4RNC) out of Raleigh ARS. CKARS also placed third in the Great Lakes Division, bested by the Black River Radio Ops by just a mere 66 points. Other comparisons can be searched at the ARRL Result Database.
